IISI provided support to Fiscal Information Agency (FIA), Ministry of Finance, in establishing an “Executive Information System”, allowing National Taxation Bureau supervisors throughout the country to access compiled tax sources, and analytical data regarding tax collection performance, auditing, human resources, data center performance, etc., in order to quickly obtain information on overall tax and business performance and enable correct management decisions.
- The system was required to integrate basic information from the nine major national taxes, namely the individual income tax, business tax, securities transaction tax, estate tax, futures transaction tax, tobacco and alcohol tax, gift tax, profit-seeking enterprise income tax, and commodity tax from the FIA and five national taxation bureaus with data files independently compiled by various staff officers (project management, HR, accounting, and budgeting information). Regular data operations were implemented in order to import the files into a data warehouse system.
- Business intelligence tools as well as internal data systems of the FIA such as the single log-in system, data access privilege management system, and audit log management system were introduced and integrated as well.
- A data warehouse platform is used to regularly generate business intelligence analysis reports so that IT personnel of the FIA can provide non-regular support to business personnel performing SQL searches.
- A single data visualization dashboard for the nine major national taxes, scenario alerts, and other multi-dimensional analytical tools were included. National Taxation Bureau supervisors throughout the country would be able to review the summary analyses and figures provided on the dashboard to support decision-making.
