1. Scope of Application 

IISI‘s “Privacy Statement” applies to the collection, processing, and use of personal data when you conduct business with IISI, participate in various activities (such as registering for seminars/courses, signing up for a website member, subscribing to our newsletter, etc.), or submit inquiries or suggestions via phone, fax, or the comment box of IISI‘s website(including our official website and websites of our various business departments). 

For any links from our website to websites not independently managed and operated by IISI, the privacy policies of the third party or respective website will apply to its protection of personal data. Please be sure to refer to the privacy policies of the linked websites. IISI assumes no liability whatsoever. 

By using this website or providing your personal information to IISI, you consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal information by IISI consistent with applicable data protection laws and this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this website or provide IISI with your personal information. 

IISI will not collect any personal information from you without your consent. IISI will specify the purpose for which personal information is collected and will only use your personal information in the way and for the purpose specified at the time of collection. IISI will not change the way in which your personal information is used unless IISI has your consent to do so. 

2. Collect, Process, and Use of Personal Data 

When you conduct business with IISI or participate in our activities, we will request for the necessary personal data, depending on the nature of the business or activity, and will process and use your personal data within the scope of that specific purpose. We will not use your personal data for any other purpose without your written consent. 

If you contact IISI by phone, fax, or through the comment box on our website, please provide your correct phone number, fax number, or email address so we can respond to your inquiries. 

When processing your personal information, IISI will comply with the Personal Data Protection Act and related laws and regulations of the Republic of China, adhering to relevant procedures and internal operating rules, and implement necessary personnel controls in accordance with our information security requirements. 

IISI does not collect any personally identifiable information from users simply browsing our website or downloading files. 

3. Data Protection 

To protect the website and your personal information, the host of this website is equipped with firewalls, anti-virus systems, other related information security devices, and necessary safety measures. Only authorized personnel may have access to your personal information. Any violations of confidentiality obligations will be subject to legal sanctions. If business needs services of related third parties, we will also require them to comply with confidentiality obligations. 

 

4. Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties 

IISI will not provide, exchange, rent, or sell any of your personal information to other individuals, groups, private enterprises, or government agencies without your consent, unless there is a legal basis or contractual obligation to do so. 

The circumstances described in the proviso to the preceding paragraph shall include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Cooperating with lawful investigations by judicial authorities.
  2. Cooperating with investigations or use by competent authorities in accordance with their official duties or responsibilities (e.g., audits by the National Audit Office R.O.C., or accountants).
  3. Based on a good faith and believes that disclosure of your personal information is necessary for legal purposes.
  4. When your conduct on our website violates our Terms of Service or may harm or infringe upon our rights or interests or cause harm to any person. And we determine that disclosure of your personal information is necessary to identify,contact, or bring legal action.
  5. Based on a subcontracting contract, IISI is fulfilling our obligation to provide personal information in accordance with the contract. 

When IISI entrusts vendors to assist in collecting, processing or using your personal information, IISI will fulfill its supervisory and management responsibilities for the outsourced vendors or individuals. 

5. Exercise of Personal Data Rights

You may exercise the following rights regarding your personal data by making written or telephone requests to IISI, including inquiries or requests for access, requests for copies, requests for supplements or corrections, requests to cease collection, processing, or use, and requests for deletion. These rights do not apply to situations where the application process, legal requirements, the website’s legal obligation to preserve the data, or other legal requirements apply. 

You may exercise the above rights in the following ways: 

  1. In-person: Please contact IISI in advance (Tel: 02-8969-1969) and bring the “Application for Exercise of Rights by the Party” form (available at our company) to apply in person.

Important Notes: 

  1. If the applicant is a minor or under guardianship, the applicant’s legal representative or guardian must present the original National ID card and official documents sufficient to prove their identity (e.g., a copy of the applicant’s household registration issued within the past two months, guardianship registration documents from the household registration office), or attach photocopies or scanned copies of the aforementioned documents to apply on their behalf.
  2. If the applicant wishes to appoint an agent to apply on their behalf, please provide the original power of attorney and submit it to the agent at the time of application.
  3. Applicants must complete the application form truthfully and clearly. No alterations are allowed. If any alterations are made, the applicant must sign the altered information or complete a new application form.
  4. After the acceptance of the request, the personal data handling staff may charge the applicant for necessary costs if the applicant requests access, review or make copies of the information.
6. Cookie

For internal website management purposes and to provide optimal personalized service, our website will place cookies on your browser to record your IP address, online time, and the number of times you access various information. This information is used to analyze aggregate website traffic and online behavior. IISI do not analyze individual visitors. 

If you do not wish to accept cookies, you may set your browser to reject them. However, this may prevent certain website features from functioning properly.

7. Server Logs

When you access our website through a browser, application, or other client, our servers will automatically record certain technical information. IISI reserves the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for any violation of these terms and conditions. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
