For its participation in the MOTC i3 Travel Love with Traveling – The low-carbon Intelligent Sightseeing Complex Transportation Servi ce Demonstration project, IISI received a gold award from the Energy Smart Community Initiatives (ESCI) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The project was also a successful benchmark for low carbon tourism and smart transportation as well.

The Planning and Setup of the CMS Information Dissemination Platform of this Project was assigned to the Smart Business Department. The landmarks of Sun Moon Lake as well as transportation management platforms in the vicinity were integrated. Big Data related to public transportation and traffic were collected, compiled, and analyzed in order to support strategies and decisions for improving traffic flow while allowing the public to select the shortest touring route via the platform. The results of the project could also be treated as a successful case of using technology in reducing carbon reduction. Vice President Wu Yu-Kuang of the Smart Business Department was invited by the MOTC to attend the Press Conference for the APEC Award for the Sun Moon Lake Low Carbon and Smart Tourism Project held on December 25. Vice President Wu then donated the Gold Award to Deputy Minister Fan Chih-Ku of the MOTC with VIPs from the relevant departments and agencies before taking a group photograph.
